Step By Step Academy, Inc. is currently seeking individuals interested in becoming Outreach Technicians/ABA therapists working with children with autism through our Outreach Support Services. Skills and Educational Requirements
Minimum qualifications for the position of Outreach Technician require that you have a high school diploma, reliable transportation, and the desire and ability to work with children with autism. An initial 16-hour training course must be completed before individuals may work with any client.

Summary of Position Responsibilities and Duties

Primary job responsibility is to work with children with autism in 1:1 sessions in the home and community to provide maintenance and generalization of skills mastered at Step By Step Academy, and to provide documentation of progress and behavior. Outreach Technicians will be part of a team and will receive 1:1 supervision from their Outreach Support Technician through direct observation and video. Outreach Technicians are required to attend monthly team meetings.

The Part-Time Outreach Technician:

• Works no more than 29 hours per week. Number of hours per week are negotiable.
• Reports directly to the Outreach Support Technician.
• Is not expected to work Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year’s Day. Is expected to be available to work all other scheduled work days, to include weeks when Step By Step is closed. Days off must be requested through and approved by the client’s family. Outreach Technicians will work with families to make up any missed days.
• Will be paid per hour as identified in the Outreach Technician contract.
• Will be paid for mileage at .30 cents per mile, and for drive time at their hourly rate when the employee leaves the center to travel to a client’s home or when traveling from one client’s home to another.
• Will be paid according to the SBSA pay schedule, which is bi-weekly. Work performed during the pay period will be paid on the 2nd Friday following the end of a pay period.
• Is an employee of SBSA and the SBSA insurance coverage will cover the employee in each of the child’s homes. This would include Bureau of Worker’s Comp and Liability Insurance.

Pay rate
Outreach Technicians start at $13.00 per hour.
